Delete
a Web in FrontPage 2000

SUMMARY
Because
FrontPage 2000 now gives you direct access to sub webs through the parent
web, you can delete a web in many ways. This article describes the methods
you can use to delete a web.www.tartoos.com
Note: If you are using the FrontPage Personal Web server
instead of the Microsoft Personal web server you will need to follow Method
3.
Method 1:
Using the Shortcut Menu
1.
Open the parent
web.
2.
Switch to either
in
Folder view, or display the
Folder list.
3.
Right-click the
folder, and click delete from the menu.
Method 2:
Using the Delete Key
1.
Open the parent
web in FrontPage 2000.
2.
Switch to either
in
Folder view, or display the
Folder list.
3.
Click to select
the folder, and press
Delete.
Method 3:
Adding the Delete Web Command to Menus
The Delete Web menu command will delete the
web you currently have open, not the one you have selected in Folder view.

1.
On the
Tools menu, click
Customize.
2.
Click the
Commands tab.
3.
Click to select
the
File category, and scroll the commands column to
Delete Web.
4.
Use the drag
technique to move the command out of the window to any toolbar or menu.
5.
Click
Close on the lower right of the
Customize dialog box.
6.
Open the Web you
want to delete.
7.
Click
Delete Web on the toolbar or menu you moved it to in
step four.
NOTE:
There is no way to delete a root web within FrontPage, because the web
server must have access to its document root directory. To delete a root
web, you may delete all the files from within the root web, then use the
FrontPage Server Extensions administration tools to remove the FrontPage
server extensions. When the FrontPage server extensions have been removed
from the web server, you will no longer be able to open the web server
